The hood, front end, headlights and mirrors on my 570s all have protective film since purchase. A friend of mine suggested that I also have the lower half of the doors and sills protected to avoid stone chip damage to the paint. I bought the car with 2600 miles on it and the paint on the lower doors/sills are in perfect condition so far.

Question: Would you recommend applying protective film to the lower doors/sills and how many of you have done that?

thanks.

I generally do the entire car which gives the car the same consistent look and protection. Here is a link to XPEL McLaren/570S/Spider They have different pre-cut kits. If you don't want to do the entire car then here are (in my opinion) the order of which things get hit

1 Full Hood, Fender and Mirror Kit
2 Bumper Kit
3 Headlamp Kit

Then I would do ......

4 Rear Bumper Kit
5 Rear Fender Kit
6 Roof and A-Pillar Kit
7 Rocker Panel Kit - Extended coverage
8 Rocker Panel Kit (this is if the OEM has gone bad)
9 Engine Cover Kit

I had Expel applied to the entire front, intake scoops, behind the doors, in front and behind the rear wheels. No doors, and it all looks great to me.
