:devilish: It was CORVETTE "eating" season on this one beautiful morning heading to a car event. View attachment 226965
Corvette spanking is a particularly fun hobby in humiliating the cars made by 'fat men in Kentucky'.... Jeremy Clarkson

Today was about hanging out with friends....... after humiliating a few vettes of course (with the 'slow' one)! :)

That's me too. It's very hard to make a sound case for anything else.
I've driven the 12C, 650, 675, 600LT and the 720. It just makes me appreciate the 570 in the garage

How did you like the 675? I have driven the 12c, 650, 600lt and 720 but I have not driven a 675 and that has been a car on the consideration table lately. Purely based on looks at the moment
It was definitely more. More involving. It was good. This is coming from someone who DD an F40 and Challenge Stradale. I like the whole raw thing.

DD a F40 and stradale?!!! That’s truly amazing. Cars are meant to be driven. You’re one of the few people who have gotten to experience the f40 like that. Very cool
There is no point in having these cars and NOT driving them. Aside from the fact that they work better when driven, you can never replace the memories...

We bought the car from Boyd Cottington in Orange County, CA (It was traded on a hot rod). Flew in, drove back to Phoenix. I think we must have the record.... OC to central Phoenix in 3 hours, 20 minutes! My buddy and I checked our watches when we pulled in for dinner and couldn't believe it.

I agree with you. Driving these cars is where it’s at. You just don’t see it in practice as the price point increases. What a cool memory. I can only imagine the thrill of a VERY spirited 3hr first drive in an F40

I met a guy who just bought an F40 at a C&C. He barely drives it because of the value. I shared some F40 stories with him and he listened with his mouth wide open. I talked to another guy with a 765 that I had instructed a few years ago and asked when we were going to take the 765 out. He said that car will never go near a track! He paid $200K over MSRP.

Therein lies the problem. The more expensive these cars get, the less likely they will be used for their intended purpose. It is tragic.

btw......That 3:20 drive is usually 5.5! :)
