Is anyone else puzzled as to why the 12C receives so little coverage and mention in the Pistonheads forums? It doesn't even have its own section, and there is the odd mention in the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati section...

I would have thought that this is the type of car that would have taken Pistonheads by storm, but hardly anyone seems to know much about it. Its time I think Mclaren crank up the PR machine...

Unfortunatly Andrew alot of the early owners and speculators took great pleasure in taking the car to pieces on that forum and it became a pain to post.
Although the man in the street still loves it and PH did one of the first positive reviews because they had a car for an extended period so they understood it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its amazing how much of a following Ferrari has on Pistonheads - but to be fair they have been at it for decades and have produced so many desirable cars. Lets hope the Mega McLaren gives the brand a big boost.

I dared to query over a year also when a separate McLaren thread would be opened and patronised and put down (by a mod) for asking such a dumb question and advised, as it now does, it would eventually be included under the Other Marques, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Bugatti thread.

Why?

Fine for 16 separate TVR threads; Ginetta, Noble, Scimitar and one called French Bread, but no demand for McLaren?

You would almost think that Pistonheads was a commercial operation who might be biased and swayed by who paid them the biggest buck.

But of course this is a totally cynical and misguided view.

That said, someone with the handle of ANDYCLAX, whoever he might be, started a post on there only yesterday afternoon about he new F1.

Pistonheads seems good for TVRs and Nobles, and..... yeah thats about it.
