Parking in small spots?

Hi, 12C owners,

Last week i went to my the McLaren Dealer and i was surprised that they can take orders for delivery next summer. I start to believe that i am in the market for a 12C.
The dealer proposed for a test drive shortly and i think i'm going to accept his offer :)
The're are a few questions i like to ask to owners about parking the 12C in small parking spots. it looks to me that the doors need a lot of space to open completely. Is it still possible to get in and out parked between two cars with door half open?
Can anyone give valueble tips to avoid scratching the nose to often on irregular pavements?

thx

Hi Sergske,to fully open the door you need a little less than 2 foot, ive have been in a situation where ive had far less, and you can get in with the door half open, but you have to hold the door so it dosent fly upwards. The car is far more usable than most large 2 door coupe so its not a problem.
As for speed bumps and irregular pavements, ive been places i cannot go in my 997 turbo because the short overhang and suspension help, sometimes you have to ajust the angle of attack, but not a problem

The spec sheet I got shows that each door is less than 10" wide fully opened; is your 2 foot figure for both doors or just for one?

Just one door choatie, the door swings outwards as well as upwards,
It moves through an arc as it opens, so you have to factor all of that space even though at rest in the open position it requires much less distance.
