I haven't heard much new leaks yet but am prowling for more info myself. Mid engine V10? Nice! That combo worked very well on the Porsche Carrera GT.
Have you seen a running prototype yet?IT IS going forward... believe me![]()
Does McLaren use the Ascari track near Ronda for testing?Nope, but I had lunch with Frank Stephenson last friday, and he told me![]()
Any idea which track it is that McLaren is using then? No, as far as I know
Given the original F1's success at Le Mans, prehaps a McLaren Le Mans (similar to the Ferrari Daytona) would be in order. It would also be great to see McLaren back at Le Mans.heard something in the mill that the name for f1 replacement is silverstone? let's hope.
V8 TurboI have heard that internally the goal is to top the performance of Ferrari's Enzo replacement.
I was hoping to see a V10 or V12.V8 Turbo
700 bhp
At least 100 kilos lighter than the Enzo
>350 km/h 0-62 MPH <3 s 0-100 >5 s 0-186 MPH <20 s
Info from a journalist
Believe he is referencing the McLaren. Is TAG talking about the Ferrari or the Mclaren? The post he quoted mentions both, and the Enzo replacement is supposed have a V8TT also.
I wouldn't think the V8s in the current F1 cars have enough torque for a road car.
where did you hear/get 12C ring time <7mins with Corsa? steve sutcliffe mentioned in autocar of 12C breaking 7min barrier but no official certification just speculation/here say100 kg lighter than the MP4-12C
Safest supercar ever Euro NCAP
>600 bhp V10? Hybrid technologi?
New thinking chassi solutions
Least polution for such a car
0-62 MPH in <3 seconds
0-186 MPH in <19 seconds
VMax >230 MPH
Laptimes <15-20 seconds faster than the 12C around the Nurburgring. 12C laps it in with Corsa tires <7 minutes.
Assuming Ferrari brings out the Enzo II next year, guess would be McLaren wants to be no more than 12 months behind with the F1 2.0.chris goodwin on interview with AutoExpress confirms one project well on its way into development and another under way. one slotted above 12C with another slotted below. more than likely turbocharged engines from the interview. hopefully its a STUNNER this time which will no doubt be game over for ferrari. ferrari always brings up LOOKS & SOUND as their ace in the hole. if mclaren has a LOOKER this time around (12C already sounds good esp with inconel exhaust) ferrari will have nothingCAN'T WAIT

Enzo II may not be even able to match 12C performance. Enzo (1) did Top Gear track in 1:19:00. Enzo II will have to be >4secs quicker to not end up a LAUGHTERAssuming Ferrari brings out the Enzo II next year, guess would be McLaren wants to be no more than 12 months behind with the F1 2.0.
