New update today and our car is further delayed due to material supply problem. The completion date is now April 7th. The frustration level is very high right now!

Todays latest update/delay news:

MSO have informed me the delivery of the seats from the supplier has been delayed again, but that delivery is now confirmed as Thursday 13th April. The car is otherwise complete, so should be a relatively quick fit and FOK, so we would tentatively expect this to be on the vessel that is scheduled for departure from the UK on 18th April.

Apologies there are continuing delays with this order, unfortunately the supply issues on the bespoke interior have been the cause.

Seats have been installed and they sent me a teaser pic. We are very happy with how the pink and teal contrast each other, the pebble beach stitching really sets off the interior!

Just found out that Mclaren did not have enough time for final quality control and getting the car to the boat for today so we have to wait another 10 days before it gets on the next ship to Canada.

How much did the MSO options add to your cost (in particular the seat colors)? I'm MSO-curious, but I don't know if the cost is on par with something like deviated color costs for 911s, or something significantly higher

MSO provides great value when spec’ing a custom interior. You can have the whole interior one color for $13,000 CAD or about $9,000 USD

The full bespoke interior is now closer to $15K USD, but it's still a bargain for what they'll do.

MSO can run pretty expensive, but compared to Porsche's PTS or Cxx programs, or lolz Ferrari, I'm still amazed at how affordable most of the options are. I have a bespoke paint for the price Porsche charges for the standard PTS menu, and I have bespoke stitching that would require Cxx approval and at a price only about 3K higher than Porsche's standard deviated stitching.

Now, if you ask for an MSO theme, exterior raw carbon, or tinted colored carbon fiber, you can drain bank accounts with alarming speed ...

yup. But you can’t buy a GT anymore. Order book is closed (maybe not in China?). Prices are higher on the newer cars you CAN order.

separately, you just paid for the car, but the MSO quote was from your work last July. That’s 2022 pricing.

We have 2500km on the car and absolutely love it. It’s so good at driving long distances, super comfy, great insulation from road noise, killer stereo. The handling is my favorite part, I’m a Lambo guy and the GT makes the lambo’s feel like tractors. Only hiccup so far is the blower motor has failed and needs replacement
