Okay, I realize I am really bullish on this car and the McLaren company. I think half the time, people must read my posts and think "Codswallop, 6E always says things are fine!". Can't blame you, I would too.

So, where possible I've been trying to provide more tangible evidence of how things really work on this car. For example the sports exhaust revving vid I made and the pictures showing how parking in my standard width garage is no problem.

I digress. This video is to address the doors. When I got my car, the driver's side door was difficult to close (from inside and out). So, I simply asked my dealer to adjust it. I'm not sure what they did, but it worked, so I guess it was a small adjustment to how the factory hung the doors during assembly. Also, the touch sensor is not some impenetrable chastity device (although mine did seem to mysteriously get easier after the v8.3 update).

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure (tighten your chinstrap, its a sizzler).

I have been in Syd's car a few times now and have only once managed to get the door closed first time - I need to work on technique. I believe some of the guys spoke directly to McLaren about re-progamming the door sequence to drop the opposite window to remove the pressure in the cabin and let the door close easily.

You, 6E, have it down to a fine art - next time I am going to practice ;)

Somehow that is kind of awesome...a man and his machine become one...
Looked like 6E was going to catch a finger. I assume he is not a professional musician.
I much prefer these to the Aventador doors, which I wrestled to a stalemate at Lamborghini Chicago.

Actually - with enough practice, you can find each car's sweet spot (they're all a bit different). After that, you can open the door with a tap of a fingertip (but you have to know where to do it!)...
