Then there’s this <img src="http://www.mclarenlife.com/forums/images/MclarenLife_2015/smilies/tango_face_smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
Great to hear on drive!

BTW, how do you get away with that plate in TX or rather have you had any issues? If not where do I get one?
I also use similar plates on my McLaren here in Houston. Never been pulled over HOWEVER my real Texas plates says the same thing my European styled plates say.

Cops either don't care or they figure it's legal for the car

It’s not legal, but it’s my plate number, it has Texas on it and the numbers are reflective so they can be seen at night. I pay the taxes. I’ve had it for about 6 months and haven’t been bothered by the cops and was even pulled over and given a speeding ticket ? but he never even mentioned the plate. It’s just 4 screws so I keep the real ones in the luggage compartment with a screw driver in case I need to put it back on. It’s just my, I don’t care, just write the ticket attitude. Please don’t get mad at me if you get one and get a ticket

Ha, it's all good.

Cops in my area will pull you over for looking at them wrong. I was more curious.

I love the idea. Cheers.

Finally got her out today to go pick up a bunch of food for the super bowl at a restaurant to-go. Was too busy enjoying the drive today totally forgot pics.

Here's how the outing went:

- On way there first light pull up to camero in right hand lane. He motions to roll right window down. With his GF they start asking 1000 questions, he starts taking pics and they are both smiling ear to ear. He asked how many HP, I said 720 and she said **ck that's hot! LOL for a female. Light turns green on onward.

- Next stop the gas station. This time 3 people come up asking to take pics asking questions, etc, etc. Also the several slow passers front and back as well with cameras out. Two came out of store taking video or pics as I was leaving.

- Next stop the restaurant. One of those pull up in designated spot and call and they bring you out food. Well, it took all of about 2 seconds for someone to come to drivers side window, was a patron...oooh and ahhh, I look in rear view and people start pointing, cameras, have someone block me behind me, get out and start taking pics. Guy finally comes with food, I wanted in frunk so didn't smell car, so open door and the whole routine starts again. I laughed. Start up and leave.

- Way home normal gawking.

Funny I never, EVER had 1/10th this attention on Ferrari or Lambo (albeit Lambo got a hell of a lot more than 458). And the great part, people are smiling and happy--like a little kid. Same way this car makes me feel.

Just another day out in 720 land.

LOVE the 720...bringing smiles to people one drive at a time
That’s funny. It’s constant. Doesn’t faze me anymore. I was hanging out with Rob Ferretti when he was in town to pick up his Corvette from LG Motorsports. I was driving and he starts laughing and says, I really never noticed how much people stare at these cars because I’m always driving.

I’m usually running late in the morning so when I go fuel up I use the furthest pump out of the 84 Buc-ees has to try to avoid the scene. It never works.

When I pick up something quick to eat, I go try to hide while I eat my food or I’ll be talking to people the whole time I’m eating. Once I thought I hid pretty good, I look up and there’s a guy with a good camera knelt down in the parking lot taking pictures. I’m thinking great, somewhere out there there’s going to be a photo with me stuffing my face.

When I go drive with my Porsche club they’re always having to wait for me to finish with the crowd before we can go.

I’ve had people hanging out of their cars taking pictures. I’m thinking, great, if he drops that camera it’s going to go through the car.

Most of the time I enjoy the people and talking to them. The kids are the greatest.

What really sets me back is, twice, I’ve had people say to me that they never thought they would see one in real life.

What a crazy life I’ve led.

Beautiful!

But were you in an SUV only parking lot? >:)
Haha, apparently most cars were scared of the cold yesterday?

Why is that? I am considering a place in a high rise downtown. Beautiful spec by the way, that color shows the lines off so well.
that's not an issue if you have a remote to open garage or a valet.

I had trouble reaching the ticket machine. Low car + thick doors makes it more challenging than the other mclarens. I had no issues with my 12c unless I mis judged the approach. But that time I parked the car and opened the door to jump out and get a ticket.

There is 1 garage I go to that you have to pay at the machine from your car, no way I could slide the credit card from the angle of the 720.
Most here you pay before getting into the car, but sometimes you have to give the ticket to the machine when leaving which is just as challenging

Oh, ok I see that with certain parking garages. Thanks for the clarification.
