One of my favorite gas into noise drives is Conifer, Pine Junction, Deckers, Woodland Park. Then west 24 to hwy 9, north to 285 at Fairplay, west to Conifer. Rarely busy, mix of tights and some long straights. Stop in Deckers for a bit, and Como to see the antique narrow gauge RR turntable. Lunch and some photo stops makes a full day. Congrats on the car.

Fantastic photos and what a backdrop! Must be nice to drive those roads, I would have to concentrate extra hard not to run off the road with those vistas...HaHa! Welcome to the brand and yes, very different from the P-Cars for sure. Enjoy it in good health!
Thank you and yes for sure! Some people choose areas for the kids/schools, I choose them for the driving roads! But also, the schools are very good in my area.. ;)

Very nice, thank you for sharing, I will have to run your route! So I take it your local/denver area?

Colorado has great roads all over the state. I'm almost due for a trip to get out of the heat to enjoy some of them.
Let me know if you head my way, would be great to meet up.

But good luck with finding 93!😂
That is true! By no means an expert, but my understanding is the elevation/lower O2 plays a big role in not needing as high octane, but there also seems like some usual drama/historical from CA, where we don't have the infrastructure. Shame really, the only really high octane I can get is at the track and I am not sure I will be tracking this car, still on the fence!

You should take it on track at least once!
I was a bit shocked when I picked my car up. My plan was to go from Denver to Colorado Springs through the mountains rather than interstate, so we turned off to the right (I forget which road) and headed west, then the road turned into a fucking dirt track!!! 😂 I did a u-turn, and then stopped for petrol right before the interstate at a pokey little gas station where I had to use the lift to get onto the forecourt. Then we started looking for the 93 and it was nowhere to be found! There was a guy filling up an original Shelby Cobra, so we got chatting to him, and he told us the next 93 would be after the state line going south.

lol, sounds about right and you are right, I don't think the whole state has anywhere to get 93, don't hold me to that statement though!

I am used to tracking my Porsche's 10-20 times per season, though last season, I think I only went 3-4x :( and I am missing this season. I can bring my 650 with my porsche group and run it and you are right maybe I will atleast once, but I need to finish getting it sorted, which is not until mid next month when Sean/Mcmedics works on my car.

Also, really not sure about the Perilli's corsa's for the track, much more comfortable with Micheline Cup2's, what are guys using to track 650s with? My car seems to tram big time, not sure if this is normal, or due to the car still needing work, will find out mid July, or the tires. I have heard corsa's tram really bad compared to other tires, not sure if true but heard it many times.

I really like Corsas, I've run on track with them quite a bit. They're quiet, they warm up reasonably quickly, they're very predictable on the track, and they wear slower than an out-and-out track tyre. They're expensive though. Personally, if you don't want Corsas, I'd recommend the Goodyear Supercar 3, or 3R if you want a dedicated track tyre. A set of 4 Goodyears is close to a grand cheaper than Corsas.

Good feedback, if/when I hit the track, I will keep them on and see how they hold up. Tires are never cheap but I am used to it and never compromise on tires. I like how much cheaper the front 235's are then the rear 305's!

If you want no compromise, get an R tyre just for the track. I'm currently running the Supercar 3, which I bought because I had to drive a couple of hundred miles each way to the track. It is holding up very well, but it's definitely a compromise when on the track. Anything other than a R compound and you're going to find the car squirrelly under heavy braking, and much slower around the corners. I had quite a big moment on Saturday because the tyres overheated, and I was trying to brake hard from around 140mph, the track suddenly seemed very narrow! lol. Previously, I'd run the 3R even hotter than that (they were around 91C on Saturday when it happened) without any problem. I've also driven an Artura on both P Zeros & Corsas on track, and on the P Zeros it was unstable under heavy braking, on Corsas it was much better.

lol, I just realized I actually have p-zeros on my car, not Corsas! Ooops. When I run through these p-zeros(which I have used many times on my other cars, they are ok, certainly more road noise with them then michelins), I will move over to the Corsas!

How many heat cycles are you getting on track with the corsas?

Heat cycles?? I just run them until there's no tread left! It's highly dependent on the track, and also alignment. Maybe 4 or 5 days?

Damn track rookie! ;) Regardless of tread, tires all have a certain amount of heat cycles before they are shot. Rubber can only be heated up and down so many times, before they lose their integrity, kind of like chewing gum but related to heat. I think I used to get 20'ish heat cycles out of cup 2's. Think of a track session usually as a heat cycle, so how many sessions would you do per day? Typically I would 3-5 30'ish laps per sessions per day. So my cups would last 3-5 days depending on sessions. Sounds like your corsas are about the same.

I'm going through the tread long before the number of heat cycles becomes a problem! What horsepower were you running at?? These things eat tyres.
