Certainly good to whack the team over the head with big mistakes early in the season after riding high from Australia. I predict they will come back much stronger and be THE team to beat this year.

To be fair to the crew, Lewis missed his marks by a good foot or so when he came in for that stop which causes them all to have to shift their positions to compensate. The rear jack man had the biggest struggle with it. Defintely a shame the way it ruined his race.

Yeah but can you explain the 8.1 sec stop LH had at Lap 42?:D

I am just messing with you Eric. I love McLaren and want them to crush RBR and Fiat!!

is it just me, or do McLaren's pit crew flub it at critical moments more than any other F1 team? Just finished watching Sanghai, and JB could have won if not for the awful pit delay......

They are flubbing more than usual, this year, that is for sure. Although Schumacher lost a probable podium finish for the same reason, today. Seems a lot of teams are having trouble with wheel guns/nuts and so forth. Shame, it sucks to see races decided like that. Fun to see Button and Hamilton slashing through the crowd at the end, though, so there's the upside. Leading Driver's and Constructor's, so overall still looking good!!

They are becoming serial flubbers. Ron will have them in detention for sure. Just not needed in A £40M business that goes racing technology.

Ditto for above question, except substitute Bahrain for Shanghai, Hamilton for Button, and delayS for delay

Whitmarsh is a top man for standing up for the mechanic. The poor guy must feel terrible. Didn't realize that they weren't paid more than regular wrenches. Anyway, I really respect what Whitmarsh said. I was calling for heads as I was watching it, but you can't just go sacking people. The right way to do it is investigate it fully and figure out if the process is faulty. They have a few weeks before Spain, let's hope they iron it out.

+1, on Whitmarsh. He is a true gentleman in a sport where that can be a rarity.

Well Hungary was a pleasant surprise. We are ahead of Fiat in the Constructor chase but we are way way behind Red Bull. What's up with Jenson? I never expect him to have more tire issues than LH. How was he not able to get around Senna?
