Anyone considered leasing their 2012 coupe? I hear Mclaren, in order to move last remaining new 2012s is offering this as an incentive to people who are worried about residuals. What do you guys thinks? I believe the offer is $3000 a month with 5000 miles a year, 36 months and a residual in the 150s?

Not a very good deal imo, especially if you need a down payment as well. Barely used 2012's are trading at like $200-220K.

Even without a down payment, you'd be paying $108K for 15K miles and three years of ownership. With barely used 2012's trading at $200-220K, that would only make sense if you were expecting 2012's to be trading at $100-110K 3 years from now. No way that's gonna happen.

I could see them trading at $160-170K three years from now. Unless you absolutely need a very specific spec, I can't think of any reason to not buy used for the foreseeable future.
