Very professional and friendly handover from Alastaire.Everything cool but Ventureshield not up to par and will be redone.
Initial observations and a few comments compared to 458
This car has an unmistakable influence from Mercedes- that is good because this car has sensible usable gadgetry ie cruise control , speed limiter.unnecessary on a sportscar cry the Tifosi but they are wrong , if you use the car on the road as it is not only a track car you definitely need it and it's an over site by Ferrari that I cannot understand better to have that than unecessary gizmos.
I like the child safety arrangements for the passenger seat this is a huge over site by the Italians
Steering wheel feels great and the indicators are where they should be
Doors well enough said
Characterless - nonsense
Quality - venture shield apart top stuff
Driving- power delivery well I hope Mclaren have whiplash insurance:D
Turn in excellent a sharp and safe

Reliability well let you know
Just a few very early observations and now must go to work

Bruce. Your colour choice looks the biz. Are the carpets blue or black?

Now I've seen your car 'delivered', in real life by Ron's truck , I regret delaying mine from October to March........oh well..........so your driving impressions are needed to satiate MP12 dreaming habits.

It will be interesting to hear how your views change as the miles pile on.

What is "Ventureshield" ?

Is it what we call clearbra here ? ie protective clear film over paint work and windows to protect from rock chips.

Congrats on your purchase, it looks great.

Ref the poor Ventureshield - its only as good as the installer.

If your looking for a really good PPF (paint protection film) installer speak to Nick Phelps at A.M.I Models or the guys at Paintshield. Best in the business.
