It had Hybrid system fault, beeped a a lot drained 12 volt battery and now electrically dead. HV charging and 12 volt charging both are not working.

Any guesses how long this issue takes to resolve?

Assuming you do not have updated software, your problem probably can be fixed in a day or two with a software update.

BTW, McLaren NA has a dedicated team to ensure rapid repairs of Arturas. Your dealer should immediately report the issue to McLaren NA and, if your car needs any parts (e.g., a new 12v battery), McLaren NA will ensure that your dealer receives it on a priority basis.

No it’s in my garage with no electrical power at all. First place I called was the dealer. I am at home waiting(per dealer request) for a tow or on site technician to come and it’s noon and there is no further communication from the dealer today. McLaren NA does not call me back. The initial call to roadside assistance could not find my car or me!

Have 4.8 now. Noticed that the miles/mpg has been fixed. - before v4.8 even with an orange indicator on for fuel required, it showed 1570 miles on the driver display. Now with a half tank + it indicated a reasonable 150 miles range. The infotainment display is still slow going thru boot up - with the seat fully back on entry, my wife can’t reach the brake pedal and has to wait to use the ‘driver position’ selector which is only available on the slow/boot-up infotainment screen.
Hmmm haven't seen that mpg issue, but that's too funny, 1500 miles? Think you got the 1.5L diesel swap going.
Interestingly enough, last i spoke to a McLaren corp person they had no insight into a new screen(or maybe didn't want to give false hope on availability)

in general lemon laws are a pain, and you’d really want a buy back. Although for only 1-2 weeks i’d really suggest talking with your dealer about some accommodation instead. Maybe a loaner. That’s not an especially unreasonable logistics time table.

No marques are going to reimburse you for waiting a week. That’s not a thing. All the incidents I’m familiar with involve a systemic recall (oops about those conrods) and the amount of cash was more a blanket goodwill payment and not even remotely like financing costs.

Never have I ever been reimbursed for my financing and carrying costs. Nor have I ever heard of such a thing. Not from BMW, Porsche, VW, Tesla, or McLaren or even friend of a friend for many other marques.

it’s not a thing. I don’t know where this idea comes from. It’s never happening

I have heard of lump sum goodwill payments for truly exceptional situations, like exploding engines due to manufacturing defect or negligence, please take $2K and sign away your right to sue us.

Our 2020 Ford Explorer XT with 2,000 mi was returned to Ford Motor Co via the Required Vehicle Program aka buy-back program. It was at the dealership for over 90 days with no expected date for repair (transmission). They paid all costs including insurance we paid while it sat at dealership. Every penny we paid plus rental car fees.

when are you guys going to stop falling for these types of postings ?

people who buy $300k cars don’t run to social media with these types of postings ….. they are only looking to draw you guys into a discussion that they don’t want you to solve for them (that is even if there is a problem to solve ).

I recently got back onto Facebook after a 7 year hiatus .. I joined some owner fb groups where one has to be verified to join ….. they average about two postings per month . The open groups are a free for all with b.s. postings from people on the sidelines . It’s like a free for all .

point is that people who buy $300k cars don’t just run to car forums and start mouthing off …. They always have an agenda and they aren’t looking for us to solve a problem for them.
