Here is an article and recap by Kevin Hamill at GTA in Detail (www.gtaindetail.com), who detailed my 12C immediate after delivery, including application of Opti-Coat. Marco Pranovi, from Advanced Mobile Group (http://www.advancedmobilegroup.net/) applied the protective clear wrap.

I want to preface the article by saying don't freak out when you see some of the "before" pictures and video. Keep in mind it takes a trained eye and very bright lights (or bright flashlight) to see some of these paint defects, unless you are really looking for them. Most owners will pick up their car after the dealer's PDI & wax and never see, or be concerned with, some of these imperfections.

That said, if you want to start with a pristine finish and hopefully keep it that way, I cannot recommend Kevin and Marco enough. This is serious detailing work - the kind that only professionals have the know-how and acquired skills to complete and, for sure, requires a level of trust from the client.

How are you liking this finish? How much does this application cost and how long does it last? Thanks!

If you are talking about the opti-coat, I have no problem recommending it for a daily driver, especially if you aren't the type to wash and wax every day. It does seem to put a nice protective coat on, making washing easier and also resistant to scratching. But you can't really wax on top of it; the wax won't take.

I prefer Blackfire Wet Diamond instead of Opti Coat. If you are not careful, and make sure to not put on too much, the Opti-Coat can streak, then more work.
