Went to Brands today for a charity track day giving rides to the Royal Marines and there helpers supporters etc:cool:Our very own Boxer was there with his Mosler:cool:

Firstly I have to say that many of these courageous young men had lost limbs fighting in Iraque and Afghanistan and that sickens me - I shall refrain from any political comment though:mad:

Well this is a car forum and the 12c was bloomin amazing again:)
Track conditions were wet mostly and a bit greasy.
She behaved faultlessly except averaging 9mpg Thats an imperial gallon to you guys over the pond:rolleyes:However the driver may have had something to do with that:eek:

The passengers all enjoyed their rides especially the pretty young Physio when we came round Graham Hill bend, driver error too quick on the pedal in the oily wet and a tank slapper commenced. Being a brilliant driver I saved the day (ok the electronics may have helped). Drove in sport and track then on leaving and refilling the empty tank put her in auto and returned home in absolute comfort. This car has a split personality Limo or Race car.

Epic epic, fabulous ,outrageous car

Now without ANY encouragement from me at least 90% of the passengers commented on the fantastic soundtrack of the 12c AND they were wearing crash helmets. So Mr Journos - put that in yer pipe and smoke it:)

I'd imagine the cool(er) weather makes the twin turbo powerplant even more of delight in terms of some (added) gusto/pep & auditory goodness! :p

With regards to petrol/gas fuel-economy, wear-&-tear for consumables (fluids, brakes, tyres, etc), odometer #'s... I always go by the mantra of smiles-per-miles! :D

Sounds likes a great event, quite endearing of you to share your time & MP4-12C!

It was a great day. Passengers seemed to really enjoy themselves which was what the day was all about. Good driving by everyone as well. No major offs despite the wet and greasy conditions. Definitely not a day for novices as there was plenty of rear end movement under braking and you needed to be measured when putting down the power.

Followed bruce's MP4 around for a few laps. It really has presence and moves beautifully.

9 MPG is pretty good given a standard 911 will do 11 mpg on a track day! Lot more horses to move per gallon in the Mclaren!
