Don't know if this has been posted before, but I thought it was pretty interesting. Seems to me it's R&T calling it the way they see it.

Did he say "rock tumbler"? Ha so true.
The review is suspect simply because they drove the 2RS in the wet. Scary and slow on cold cup tires. I think the 2RS does have the edge in power/weight ratio. Gets you a left quad workout too.

It is true the 458 lacks civility. Ride and noise are pretty bad on some surfaces. Then again I've never driven an F40. And the 458 doesn't skitter you across bumps toward Mr. Ditch. But I always spill my tea.

The 12C sounds great there at the end. It might be competitive with a 458 when in a tunnel or underpass, which is quite the experience. I record it on iPhone for friends. Sounds like armageddon.

Even with the Sports exhaust, it is not competitive with the 458.

Like I have said, 98 out of 100 is an A, just not an A+. Much better than the Italian's first effort.

It's all up to personal taste. Some want to sound faster, some want to be faster :D
Bragging rights that mean nothing in the real world. 2 or 3 tenths would not matter in a street race, simply down to the driver. ;)
