Used the search function, could not find any pricing threads. Anyone willing to share trade in values on pre-owned MP4-12C Coupes? I am assuming 30k back of sticker with less than 2k miles?

There are rumors floating around on discounts off of MSRP for new models, is this true?

Are people still receiving discounts for the non-functioning Nav. and Blu-Tooth?

What happens when McLaren finally gets them functioning? Do you then need to pay them for the upgrade to get it installed, or will this be another "free" upgrade?

Is it wise to advertise something as a "FOOTBALLERS CAR"? I would instantly look for another one.

I hadn't any new ones that went for a discount.

Regarding used... I see them listed at MSRP at McLaren Dallas so you should be able to get a bit off. I think it completely depends on your market. Dallas dealership is selling well so they don't need to come off the used price much. So is Socal... Other areas... I don't know.

Just wondering what trade in's are getting, for those maybe selling to make room for the Spider? Unless some of the cars are consigned?

There are 15 cars on cars.com. Guess none of them hang out here? :( Asking prices are just that, asking prices.

At least the asking prices in the US are much closer to MSRP than they are in the UK.
Well, when you are looking to trade in your car, we want it one way, and when we are looking to buy maybe pre-owned, we want it another way. Sad, but true.

But once you own it you don't want the residuals headed south. So I think in the long term you are better off buying in the market were the residuals are firm, even though that means you pay more initially.

That is a nice dream, but unfortunately not reality. In 10 years MP4's will be worth less than 1/2 their retail values. A prospective buyer can either wait until they drop 1/3, estimate 3 years, or enjoy one now. I have a feeling they will be hit harder than Ferrari's in the beginning, until they prove reliable in the long run.

I am just trying to figure out how I would open the doors in my garage! Murcielago's are great, park it real close to my Scuderia, no issues. But the way the MP4's door open, might have to take a car out of my garage each time I want to get in, dang it!

I believe you missed my point. I don't expect my Mp4 to be worth more than I bought it like my used Ferrari C4 was. But if I was buying a used one and planned to keep it for a few years, I'd want to be in a market that was experiencing reasonable depreciation, not like what has happened in the first year to the UK buyers.

Thanks, are those selling prices, or asking? I thought the one I was considering was high, at 10k off MSRP and more mileage than 600. Thanks, great info.

Depends on who you are asking. Some of the owners might think $300k would be a good price for you to pay. ;)

Seriously though - the orange 12C that Cats Exotics sold recently had a $295k sticker and was traded for around $250k with 2,450 miles.
