Yeah, the new software update made my alarm super jumpy too. I did not, however, notice the power dive you mentioned - I tried multiple permutations of shifting/modes/AC on and off, nothing.

When I have work files and my coat on the passenger seat I often get passenger seat belt not on warnings. Guess its setup with a very low trigger weight

Is it just me who gets this?

It happens ALL the time, even with nothing on the seat. My ghost passenger.

Only time I've gotten that was with my helmet and jacket resting on the seat. I concur, too low of a trigger. Wonder if it has to do with those ludicrous "smart airbag" systems that they're forced to install. I like Koenigsegg's response - "Who's going to sit a baby in this car?!"

I'm with the apparent majority. Put my golf clubs on the passenger side, not even fully on the seat, continual ping, ping, seat belt not on!!

Even had it the other day with some shopping on the seat and believe me, my regular shop isn’t that substantial.

I had noticed irregular idle speeds but had not put it together with an A/C on/off condition. Engine has never actually stalled so i didnt think to much of it. As for the seat sensor warning have your dealer recallibrate the passanger seat calibration and it should take care of the issue. Damian at Beverly Hills took care of mine and no issues after:)

Took my car out with golf clubs in the passenger seat for the first time yesterday. I had to put the seatbelt over them to get rid of the warning. The passenger side airbag still showed as disabled - so I guess somehow the weight of the clubs are such that they are interpreted as a child seat?

Has anyone found an issue with the aircon noise level when in auto mode? For me it seems to whistle through the vents very loudly through the dash.
Also completely agree with the doors - I have to pull it down with almost all my might to close properly.........

Because of the stiff door, I have tried something:;):D
Setting the ignition, then open the passenger window a little bit, then shut your own door without any problems.:)
For the passenger do the same with your window, the passenger will shut the door easely:)
Try it, will work!!!:)

Wonder if the cold weather has anything to do with the door stiffness? Mine seems to work just fine but it has never been cooler than 55F for me.

This also brings up an option that many sites have.

The private owners section. An area for validated owners only to discuss these items and get resolution without unduly tarnishing the reputation.

Nah, the doors need re-engineering, maybe just the seal and/or strike plate. I went in an ADVENTORDOOR or whatever they are called and the doors closed like hydraulic good things, ie easy as pie. At this moment I have tennis elbow for the first time in my life 7 days after MP4-12C ownership. Loving it.

Agree, I certainly hesitate before posting anything knowing the site is public.
I think the forum should really think of quite a few areas becoming private.

I know of 2 owners who won't join or post because its not a private forum.

By the way I no somebody who puts a baby seat in his 12C :D
Per above, would a private owners section be of interest?

I agree that a private owners section would be a good idea which then gives an option to keep comments private but there is always some who will want to go public. We do have the option to pm each other if there is a specific question? I know that the dealers drop in from time to time to see what's going on but it would be much better if comments were put forward in the correct manner.

After having had problems with my alarm I went back to the McLaren dealer. They reload the new software and take off the battery for a while. Now alarm is working perfect. Change of gears in automatic modus is now better than before.
