A short video of the McLaren MP4-12C Hot Lapping the Bahrain International Circuit with McLaren GT3 Driver Tim Mullen at the wheel during the 2013 Bahrain International Motor Show, showing the 12C owners how it's done!:D

Thanks to the organisers for a great event.

Tim gets around,it was he that took Fabian, mikey,Boxer ,kanu and myself for hots laps in the P1,as he said at the time it makes the 12c seem pedestrian, but not so much looking at that vid.
Comes to mind a conversation about another of the GT3 drivers that was doing a similar event and he had to come in after a couple of laps because the 12c had an engine problem with major power loss.Only to be reminded by the techs that he had spent the last couple of days testing in a P1 ,you guessed it

Nice Ice! How did you composite the scenes? You had two cameras and the inner one. Or did you have a 3rd for the tach?

@Andy, he was really cool and we spent a nice time chatting at the end of the day. He had mentioned the differences between the models and we are looking forward to meeting again :D

@jkheit, it was made with two cameras, one exterior & interior. I duplicated the interior shot and zoomed into the tachometer. Then I synchronised & layered the tracks on top of the exterior shot and just kept the interior audio:cool:

Cool Video but its really hard to see the circuit from the back camera. Its amazing how much the steering wheel moves around when you are really pushing the car.

Btw... Why are there so many luxury sedans at the track?

This was part of the Bahrain International Motor show and other manufacturers allowed visitors to drive their cars around the track. Having said that, McLaren was certainly the star of the show.

We included video from two different laps to show the variation/consistency of performance around this circuit. Near to the end of the day, traction control was switched off completely and there may be a new video of this soon (from another source).

Regarding the garage motors, good job, although we didn't get to see them in action :D
