Imagine the result with an extra 25PS under the hood of the McLaren

After the October updates, anyone with the non-power seats is a sure win against the Aventador, and probably even those with the power seats. From a roll it would be even worse I am guessing.Imagine the result with an extra 25PS under the hood of the McLaren![]()
Was kidding, but still curious what the weight difference is.The 1/4 mile trap was exactly inline with my own test at Sacto dragstrip. I'm going to retry our MP4-vs-458 drag race in a couple of months, this time using tire warmers to get the rears up to 160F so both cars will have some grip off the line. We'll see how much the extra 25HP adds to the trap speed.
And Mark - not sure if you're kidding about the power seats? I've never seen a weight figure for them, but even "heavy" MBZ seats are <100 lbs for the pair, and I don't expect the McLaren power seats are >35 lbs each, so the difference between power and non-power seats would be undetectable in a 3300lb curb weight vehicle.
Stock Aventador is not really that impressive in the sound dept., SV blows it away. Newport Beach exhausts make a big difference. The 12C is the best car IMHO and with the additional HP and more aggressive shift program will take the measure of the Aventador, no doubt.
But you have to admit, when it comes to sound, NO-BODY can top a Lambo (any Lambo) if it doesn't explode.
I could try. The Youtube.com video with Richard Hammond sounds close, down in loudness about 25-40 %, but same tone. Search Hammond Top Gear 670 SV.It sounded great to me. Nothing like a V12. Better buy one before they're illegal. 2016 haha
I'd take a GTR and cash over a Turbo S. Impressive car.
Any audio of the SV you could post, Markjayw?
Goodness. Nice flames. Front end looks so much better than Gallardo. I have not driven a Murci but worry about the fun and utility of big, heavy cars.I could try. The Youtube.com video with Richard Hammond sounds close, down in loudness about 25-40 %, but same tone. Search Hammond Top Gear 670 SV.
