Anyone have any experience resolving an air bag fault error message without having to bring the car to a McLaren dealer? My mechanics OBD tool is showing that the driver's side seat belt buckle switch has too much resistance. What the heck does this even mean?? I had my mechanic remove the entire bucket seat in order to send the seat belt buckle off for repair, but the repair shop is saying the issue of high resistance in the buckle is likely a fault (wiring short) somewhere else. So, after spending time and money to have the seat/buckle removed and reinstalled, the fault code remains. I'm not against brining the car to McLaren, it's just a bit of a hassle because my closest dealer is more than 90 minutes away and of course, I know how high dealer servicing rates are. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
