I'm looking to get new tires all around was wondering if anyone has put bigger tires on the stock wheel? Stock is 285 can I fit a 295 or 300 on the rear?
I’ll be getting my car back from service tomorrow and I can take some pics. Honestly though it looks the same. There’s no overhang or noticeable visible difference from the stock tire size.
Ok. Dont bother too much. Was just curious. I thought the front may look a touch less 'stretched' over the rim as it kind of does with the 225. I also used to like the look of my wide 295's on the r8. Made the rear look 'fat'
Talking purely looks but would also enjoy the extra grip. I know mac particularly designed with these sizes so the car was fun and did slide around a bit.
Stick some Spacers on and up the rear width to 295 on stock wheels (I wouldn’t go any wider on the stock rims if you track the car )
It makes the 570s much more aggressive looking from the rear
Also... those of you who have added spacers onto the OEM wheels, please let us know the width and whether you needed new wheel bolts. And of course, pics are mandatory. ??
Just installed the bigger Sport 4S tires and spacers. Front: 235/35/19 with 12mm spacers. Rear: 295/35/20 with 15mm spacers. Much more aggressive than stock. Because of taller side wall especially on rear, the fender gap is reduced and car looks lowered. Perfect!
Sorry for the delay on the photos.
Here’s what 35 up front and 295 rear looks like with Sport Cup 2s around the wheel. It definitely does not have a stretched look but has more of a bulge to it.

Are your wheels the optional 5 Twin spoked lightweights ?
Beautiful, thank you. This now actually looks like the correct size tyres for the rims. What it was supposed to be. Certainly the front does. I suspect Mac downsized the tyres after some R+D to engineer a little slide into the car after the fact.
Thanks SLD7007
I have 305 cup 2 and track all the time. They dont rub at all. Im not lowered or anything though. McLaren/triv said same thing to me. Its BS.
Put suspension into track and stiffen it up if worried
Mine are fine. Have done probably 10 track days with 305 cup2. Not sure on other brands. Cup2 305 are wider and squarer than pzero 305
Plenty of hard corners at the track i go to.
