Just purchased some Euro side markers and have heard of guys modifying them to light up like the US spec versions. Anyone have any insight on how this is done? I see the only difference is the wiring plug is filled with epoxy on the Euro version. My guess is to drill this out and install a led or removing the lens and switching back plates?

Use a heat gun to remove the reflectors and swap them on the housings.

Sweet ! Two questions for you:

1. Where can you buy these state-side
2. Is install straight forward or do you need to remove trim and panels?

I did this for the old PCAR pretty straight forward install, no trim/panel removal needed. Have been wanting to do these for the MAC.

I purchased them from a UK vendor. Install is easy, just remove wheel and take out the fender liner. 1 screw hold them in.

I have tried to heat up and swap lens but was not successful. A DIY write up on this would be great with pics. Maybe one of the vendors can post a detailed how to 😁

I am very curious if it is possible to modify with colored LEDs as well (orange led front, red in rear).
