It’s time. Time to reveal a true pioneer. Time for something big. More on this soon. Stay tuned!

The production version of the AMG One will be unveiled June 1st.

1700kg is still a lot of weight, especially for such an extreme machine .... Now I understand better the 1400kg of the Valkyrie.

But I'm still really happy that the "One" will become a reality, personally I like its design a lot.

I really don't know what to think of this car after all these years.... I can't help but compare it with a SF90, the weight is similar as the power and the hybrid system.

Except in the high RPM the sound has nothing captivating for me, i really pity the customers who have waited +5 years to get this final product.

So yes, the engine is "Special" and I think that AMG really impressed by not abandoning the project but these "Spec" are too dated.

At least that's my opinion, the car will surely impress others.

It's difficult for me to understand what more you could possibly want from a car. It's essentially a F1 car for the road, or at least as close as you can get. The only thing lacking for me is the way it looks, and that's only because it's lining up next to the Valkyrie.
I get it, maybe it's the fact that I've been following the car's development all this time and in the end it's a hypercar like any other.

Maybe I was expecting too much.

As I said it just my opinion.

I think it's just market saturation. Every time I scan my Google feed there's yet another hypercar with 3 million horse power that costs 5 million dollars and is already sold out ten times over.

What more were you expecting?
Yes I think you are right, every week there is a new Hypercar unveiled with crazy figures.

It becomes a kind of habit that gets boring after a while.

As I said at the unveiling I find it really incredible a "F1 for the road" with a real F1 engine.

With performance at the level of an F1 car (what AMG said) I have no doubt that it will be fast (with +1000hp it would be a shame if it wasn't) but too much time has passed for me, this is really a very personal point of view.

What more were you expecting?
I was expecting the real "F1 road car" but I realize that this is just a title that is given to all hypercars today.

No, it literally uses the F1 engine block. No other road car can claim that. This is the F1 engine just modified to meet emissions and driveability (crankshaft and pistons). Not "based on". It's also AFAIK the only road car with pneumatic valves, just like the race cars
You're right, this is the closest thing to an F1 car with this engine.

The video post #118 above, - it is amazing how drivable the ONE appears to be. The new transmission so smooth - all of the electric controls for pedals, steering, creature comforts etc.
Much of the extra weight over the original target came from evaporators, emissions controls etc
Amazing accomplishment by Mercedes. Hopefully show and display gets approved for USA 😁
Are you trying to make me like this car? 😁

I joke of course, for sure the car is extremely well designed and realized.
