I’m thinking of full 600LT CF conversion kit for my 540C but as cost is quite high and my McLaren specialist (Thorney motorsport) has told me to be wary of poor fitment with aftermarket kits. My question is this. Has anyone experience of buying any of their carbonfibre parts and if so how good is fitment

I knew someone would reply with this helpful comment, as I’d get £85k for my car and cheapest 600lt is around £160k, and considering kit is £18k there’s a big difference

A lot of work will be required to make the parts fit correctly.
Why do you say that. Mclarenbits state there products fitment is 100% perfect. I just wanted to confirm if that was correct from people who have bought from them in the past

You wouldn’t expect them to say anything else. If they said it’s a 95% fit they wouldn’t sell many kits....

I think there was a vendor on here who was selling OEM 600LT conversion. May be worth it to inquire with him. If its OEM the conversion will be spot on

Hi, we can provide both solutions to convert or restyle your 570GT, 570S and 540C, see below.

A/ The 600LT conversion, all components are 100% genuine Mclaren parts; the full set comes with all the bits (bracket, bolts) all front, side and rear panels. Everything is included.

B/ We also released recently a restyle solution for the 570GT, 570s and the 540C. this restyling kit includes all the panels, front, side and for the rear end, the spoiler, the top and lower bumper diffuser, the exhaust connector make possible for the two exhaust tips going through the diffuser
