Well if it helps you any - referring to Antony Sheriff's quote about 'They won't say no - they will simply say how much." in this particular case the 'how much' was a HUGE pile of money. A multiple of 7 figures was the number I was given.

Okay so it is an odd design but whatever.... I am amazed that McLaren is willing to make all these crazy designs. It is great for publicity and design exercise. Certainly seems to prove that they don't say no just how much. I mean this is certainly more interesting than the Mansory et all.

My first reaction was, is it a Citroan Mclaren. Then, no, it's Mclarens take on a S Class Mercedes. Then no it's a Nash Metropolitan brought up to date.

None of these, it's the product of someone's dream/whim and cost well over a £1m plus, plus.....

Not sure how this supports the brand but it sure as hell lets the boys at MPC practice car design and prototype build.

Glad the owner will keep it out of sight........I think......well it would be intriguing to see it.

Wow, someone was smoking some serious stuff to dream up that monstrosity. LMFAO! Now that look fits the look of a smooth riding car. :)

I think they only allow hookahs in his country. No idea what he is putting in it. ;)

I will tell you all later why I love the thing.

when I saw this, I thought it was another student project, often not so well executed and a bit naive. nothing surprising, they are student.
but it is not!
This is probably the ugliest car of the decade from a #real# car manufacturer. it rivals the last Bertone Nuccio concept
I dont understand how they have managed to do something so bad and far from mclaren heritage.
It doesnt even try to be something new and innovative, it is a mismatch of different ideas from different cars, with bad proportions and awful detailling (those rear lamps!!)

It is worrying because it shows that the design team doesnt know what they are doing or has no power in the company. Even if the client wants something crazy, it is their job to propose something that fits with the brand image.
There is no mclaren in this baroque and tasteless exercise.
Or maybe they desperately needed money...
