Lazante (who else) are behind it and only 5 will be made. According to this article they engineered a removable roof cover.

"The glass roof panels are also gone, but Lanzante has engineered a removable roof cover should the P1 Spider owner still want to drive the car when it's raining. "

I have to say my bother as open top cars are awful, having had owned a few one rarely uses. Uk weather is crap, Australian weather too hot. Why bother.
