McLaren tends to continually up the price on the ESCs as the vehicle ages.... We're now at 5 years old for the 2016 model year Sport Series.

What prices are folks getting to renew their "warranty" for another year or two? I know it can also vary among different dealers, and certainly vary in different countries.

just paid 6999 in Dallas for 650s
Thanks - good data point, but Super Series would always be more than Sports. Did you consider taking the risk and banking the money instead of paying for the warranty extension? I realize a transmission (or engine) failure would be huge money, which is one reason I am seriously considering renewing mine.

€5900 for two years extension on 570S coupe VIN 38... so one of the early cars. No change in price compared to when I took the last warranty.

Main issue I had was burst airco pipe and corrosion on both doors... all replaced under warranty... a few minor issues as well. However a friend had a complete engine replaced... so it’s a case or roll the dice if you don’t take it. I prefer the peace of mind.

I’d encourage everyone with an early VIN to check for tiny bubbles on the paint work... you don’t notice it unless you inspect it carefully. A few photos below in case you are wondering what to look for. I was told they changed the door design on later models to reduce this problem.

Im pretty sure theres a 10 year rust and corrosion warranty regardless of an ESC. Disappointing nonetheless

this should be everyones last resort.....I would never consider a third party warranty
way too much tiny print and I have not heard any successful claims from mclaren owners
Correct. I've only found a few that will actually handle McLaren. And a few of them have sketchy policies.

If you do find one, make sure it's an exclusionary policy instead of an inclusionary one, that way you will have a contract on what they WON'T cover vs. what they will cover.
