Long road trips, is this car good for 1000/2000 miles of driving?

Hi everyone!
Something I like to do in the summer is to go on long road trips. I live in Switzerland so going to Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain etc is something that I really enjoy.
I do it in my 458 without any problems, the question is, is the 720S a good companion for those long trips?

Can he hold it? What do the owners that also made long trips have to say about that?! Or you don’t even think about doing it because of low reliability of just you don’t want to risk ending up stranded?

Your honest feedback is very welcomed!
Thank you
I have 2017 car with 8000 km the car has been perfect. You need to learn to relax.

I have been in the same position as you many times. Every time I get the itch, I re-visit what owners are relating about the 720 on this forum (and others). I am rooting for McLaren, but at this stage, I am just not comfortable (we all have our own comfort levels) with the frequency and severity of reported "head scratcher" variety issues. So, I wait. And hope.
I suppose this rules you out of Ferrari as well.

Or you could try your hand in a GT3.

IMO; The #1 stupidest question on car forums is whether a car is reliable or not. The next stupid thing is people chiming in to actually answer the question.

This forum is the worst for this and it is a fraction of owners who seem to be controlling this narrative in a negative way.

If a person doesn't want any issues with any car/manufacture then just walk.

People who use reliability as a reason to not be interested in a car aren't interested anyways and just backing into some justifiable reason in their mind.

I agree with you entirely, what I was trying to do was to deal with Mclarens perception bias that has come from the early cars, with a juxtaposition of the reality that most low production cars, may have some issues but that today, the Mclaren has no more than some of the other manufacturers.

This thread started by someone asking if a 720 was reliable enough to go on a 2000km trip without breaking down for heaven's sake.
