I was told at the MTC that is is not just software. But even if there are hardware changes, that does not necessarily mean more weight.

A retrofit seems to be possible but at a high cost.

I'd guess they have to change the damper to provide the additional travel. But since it's part for part, I can't imagine the weight increases all that much - couple of pounds maybe? Even if they have to add a completely separate control module, those only weigh several ounces. Whatever weight gain does happen I'd bet is inconsequential.

And let's not forget we're all getting that additional 25 bhp so power/weight ratio will not be greatly impacted.

I really want the lift kit but would find 10k hard to swallow for a retrofit.

I have not seen the system yet but it depends what route they have taken. If they go for a bunch of linkages etc it will add some weight but not too much. a bigger shock with longer travel and different programing will not add weight i suspect. My interest is in if they get un-sprung weight or not.
