this is destroying their image.

workers and engineers use fans.
toilets very dirty.

Work in progress???? The Mclaren dealerships have to have a set standard with even the same desks in the showrooms,i would have thought the workshops would have to be the same, although many use dual ones as in your pictures, but i would not be happy if my car was being worked on in these conditions, and i would bet 99.9% on here would have the same view. Also in the UK the workshops are manned by guys you can speak to,who have the same passion if not the means, they seem to see it as a pleasure to work on these type of cars,im not so sure about yours!!!!
Lets hope it changes for you, maybe when the sales get bigger they will have a dedicated mclaren site!

That's just unacceptable, I'd have serious doubts about taking my car there.

I did see one of the first Saudi registered cars in the workshop here in Dubai .... I can now understand why! The dealer here must have spent millions building a new workshop after getting the McLaren franchise ... it's more like MTC than the backstreet outfit you seem to have. I seriously hope your guys improve quickly.

Do you really believe these photos are genuine?

KSA has, shall we say, some credibility issues and an apparent agenda.

Jerry, tell us the truth.

McLaren Jeddah is situated at:
Al Sulaiman Trading Est.
Madinah Road
Near Sari Bridge
Jeddah 21352

Google doesn’t have Streetview here, but the satellite photo shows a green-field site, suggesting a very newly built premises.

Certainly not in keeping with KSA’s alleged photos of the workshop.

Zippy, many of the dealerships (even in the uk) use workshops they already have!! Its usually the showrooms that are new.Maybe Mclaren had no choice as this is all thats available at the time and were given promises.
It would be good to see a picture of the showroom though, nobody would spend their money at a place like this.
It does look like a new showroom though from the background of KSA,s picture!!
Is this correct? KSA ,are the showroom and workshop at different sites ??

yes in different place.
I think that Mclaren HQ will have already noted your pictures as they look at all forums, and will already have expressed their views,it will be interesting to see if the dealership improves in the next few months as Mclaren do not want this ,as im sure lambo dont either.Im sure in your part of the world there is enough profit in these cars for them to do a proper job.

Zippycar would be better just zip it. No offense. Maybe check the adress, or maybe check zippy's house for glass before throwing anything.
I do like the atmosphere here.
Even though I like the chaotic ordening system, maybe Ron would like the workshop a bit more, how can you say, clean.
And for the Lambo thing, around Naples this would be considered a flagship workshop for Lamborghini,
so they look at the forums too, and are now trying to implement this level of workshop in all the Italian dealerships.

I've never visited Jeddah (it's on the Red Sea side, Dubai is on the Gulf side) but I see no reason to doubt KSA. I could find you dozens of places like the one in the photos in the industrial estates here but they wouldn't usually be packed with McLarens, Lambos and Ferraris. It would take a lot of effort to be faking this.

As an aside, anyone know what the rear engined silver car with half of it's bodywork missing is? I'm struggling with identifying that one.

I've been to four different showrooms and workshops and they have all been immaculate, so this is surprising

Thanks, Lotus are rare in the Middle East.
Agreed.

Too stripped out and stiff to garner mass popularity at that price point in the region. Riyadh's Al Reem circuit had a Lotus Cup Series in 2010. Not sure if they're still active now. Rare to see them on the streets.

KSA's pictures of the Al Ghassan service center in Jeddah. Al Ghassan are the umbrella dealer for Bentley, Lamborghini, Lotus, McLaren and Bugatti in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Ducati was dropped from the lineup a few months ago as given the relatively low profit margins compared to autos.

The Jeddah branch relocated to a new mega-showroom in July, and are doing the same in Riyadh. McLaren Riyadh might be given a bit of independence until the expected 2 year (?) construction is complete, and are currently looking at quite a nice cozy boutique showroom across the Kingdom Centre skyscraper. A suitable part of the city. I'm unsure if the new mega-showrooms include space for the workshops.

I'm considered a prospect by Al Ghassan, and by no means have the customer history that member KSA does, but from my experience their front-end has been professional, courteous, and extremely welcoming. KSA, what's the customer experience like when you're finally on the books? What's your impression so far?

It's one of the rare types of business in the region that are "forward-thinking" in terms of social-media and outreach. They're extremely active on the social media and local car scene, supporting an up and coming initiative Superior Automotive Blog which held the country's first cars and coffee event.

I'm assuming we'll hear a positive reaction about their workshop facility.

KSA, do speak to Ahmed Ali at McLaren, and let him know your thoughts. He's quite passionate about conveying the "McLaren Experience" and goes to all ends to make sure that both customers and prospects alike are happy. It seems like they get a bit of autonomy within Al Ghassan, and he's using that independence to heighten the customer service experience beyond the national norm. He's told me time and time again, "I want to make you feel like you're dealing directly with Woking."

Do not try to lie to others, this work shop their since long time and nothing changes.
our dealer do not care about any thing except selling cars and gaining money.
Ahmed Ali is the worst sales man at the group.this is from my experiences.
this dealer must change unless he change his mentality.
i have 25 of my friends in Lamborghini club saying the same.
5 in Bentley club saying the same.
3 Mclaren members saying the same.
so, what you are covering !!!
We decided to move to all mother companies on our next trip to show what we have?
and I'm sure if they see what we have they will close it immediately.
