As I read and reread the manual in my quest to fully understand the features on our cars, I came across this on pg 23 of the hard cover manual..I did not remembr having 3 buttons on the door panel so I checked and sure enough two buttons only..

Could it be an extra button when you opt for the increased security package on the options list???

Thats what I thought and then checked the configurator and it does not indicate this...

3 buttons on mine. I did tick the upgraded alarm box (not on the configurator but on the final list with the dealer).

Thats is probably the only thing that makes sense..Anyone else that is willing to check would be appreciated ..I will quiry dealer/ McLaren as well..

The original demos had three buttons there as well. I don't remember what the third was.

third button is for disabling internal protection (volumetric sensor)
it was an option

Mystery solved...found it in the Upgraded tracking alarm system content.....
