Got the following from my newsletter update...

The 12C's unique Intake Sound Generator (ISG) system, which controls the amount of engine intake sound heard in the cabin, is now programmable across three levels in all three Powertrain modes allowing the driver to select the amount of aural drama he or she wants to enjoy, whatever the road.

They are also going to put all the updates and the additional 25hp on the 2012 models to make sure that 2013 models don't overshadow our cars.

Seems like the ISG solution is much needed as many of us complained about the noise in track mode and not being able to adjust it.

Ha, Ha. I had mine disconnected for some peace so I could here that sonorous engine........as opposed to that Fezza squelcher, sorry squeal:D

Seriously that Fezza makes a wonderful sound without the hindrence of Turbo's. But the MAC has it's own, different, qualities.

Personally, I want to hear the sound of the engine, not some engineered noise enhancement to create an illusion.

I find mine in track mode to be loud enough, but the real problem is that from the outside the car doesnt sound as good or as loud.....
I agree...hopefully with this new feature, I'll disconnect it altogether and let the engine speak for itself, even if its not as loud as other cars...I don't think it will make that much of a difference as they look at my rear-end pulling away from them.
