VERY COOL!

The SSG system has another trick in its box. If the driver enters a sharp corner too quickly, requiring a strong braking action, there is every chance he will not be in the ideal gear for smooth acceleration out of the corner. If the left-shift control is depressed and held, instead of ‘clicked’, while under braking, the transmission matches engine speed to the correct lowest gear.

My porsche pdk did this also but it wasnt very good, I'll bet w the update on the mac it is great.

I'll try it next rack day!

yeah it's good.. although kinda feels like cheating just to hammer the brake and hold the paddle and know that when you stuff it to the next corner its going to be all set up properly... I still like changing down each gear on the track, but it's nice to know that you only have to worry about braking (oh and steering!) if so inclined...

so much for heal and toe'in..! (I much prefer the paddle gearboxes for the record!!)
