Had Xpel applied to a non-metallic black car car two weeks ago and from day one , I noticed several areas of very small swirls ( less than 1/2 in. long) and what I would describe as two or three tiny "pimples"......not bubbles, tho. These areas are not terribly obvious....unless you're a car junkie. Any of you guys ever had this with your Xpel applications?
Thanks

I have one small bubbled area on my hood. Probably others exist too, this one just happened to catch my eye. Not worried about it. The xpel has already saved the paint from a big rock. I wonder, will it ever diffuse away or perhaps could be rubbed out? Leaving it alone for now.

Mine if fine, but a little disappointed in a couple of places its been punctured, but to be fair what could I expect as the bonnet has also been dinted there,i will have to get it taken out by a specialist and then see it I can re-heal the film with hot water.Thing is what would it have been like without the film, probably dinted and with the paint damaged as well !!

Zero bubbles / swirls.

When spending 2500.00 plus and it taking less than 15 hours to install you guys should demand perfection.

The Expel is only as good as the surface it is applied on - make sure there are no contaminants or defects in the paint.

A good clay bar cleaning and inspection is highly recommended before Expel application.

constanelli3, when I had my xpel ultimate applied, there were several small bubbles (like pimples) and one large one (maybe up to 4 cm in diameter). I was concerned about it, the installer told me it was actually solution trapped under the film, just give it time to evaporate, which it did. I can't remember exactly how long it took, sorry. But other than that, I have been very impressed with the xpel. It stays put and for sure has saved my paint from severe chipping.

I would give it another two weeks and if everything doesn't look perfect by then, have them look at it again.
