Well, I took my 12c to this show this past weekend. It won First Place in the 'Supercar' Class, up against various Lambos, Ferraris, and Astons. Whilst I am most definitely NOT a car show kind of a guy (I'd rather drive 'em than show 'em, and only do this when asked), I must note that in the 3 shows I've been to with the Mac I've won 4 firsts - so much for the 12c being 'sterile and boring to look at'; the general public absolutely loves this car. As you'll see if you visit the Classy Chassis website, this Show is a top-rated world-class event so the win was especially sweet. The lousy-quality photo is a long-view from the top of Reliant Stadium down to the show floor; it was taken during the evening reception and cocktail party on Saturday.
However, this was not my favorite award this weekend: The show also runs a "Ride and Drive" event each year outside of the Show Hall - donate some money and get a ride in the supercar of your choice around an autocross course. The charity is the Shriners Hospital. For the second year running, my Ford GT won "Best Burnout". Of course, after demonstrating this feature at the start of each ride all weekend long, I now need new rears, but what the hey, it was worth it!
