Hey McLaren - Add a new feature on the steering wheel - 'shift mode'.

This would be more useful than waiting 8 seconds between manual to auto modes or leaning over to try to press the button, or upgrade the transmission to go back to auto without waiting 8 seconds .... like the AMG GTR BS :)

IMHO All key features related to powertrain / handling / TC etc.. modes should be on the steering wheel!

It takes a great car and makes it better!
McLaren does not want to follow Ferrari with too many ‘controls’ on the steering wheel. McLaren’s approach is to add the binnacle with easy finger reach controls. Perhaps you could take a test drive in an Artura to get a feel for what is coming …

Write in the suggestion to mclaren. You want the ability to change from auto to manual and have that specific button located on the steering wheel...

Does any car have that specific button on the steering wheel?
I just took the dealership Artura out - the A/M button on the binnacle, switches instantly between A and M. Easy to reach with both hands on steering wheel

What do people think of these Citroen XM finger tip switches on the Artura? Are they easy & comfortable to use without looking? Is there an emergency Nail Repair Kit in the Central Armrest if the worst should happen?
So far I like the binnacle switches - easy to reach with finger(s) while keeping hands on the steering wheel. Of course as the switches are ‘new’ there is a tendency to be exploring the modes, including the additional electric mode more often than I use the modes on the 570 and 720 cars. And yes the A/M and ESC buttons are small diameter, not much of a problem for my clipped short nails but perhaps wife long nails would have a problem - don’t think she uses manual mode or ESC off though.
