I wish I could drop by too - I'm a few hundred miles away but might try to sneak in a trip if I can manage it. Otherwise I am coming up for the Monterey weekend and will see it then.

What an awesome treat to have that parked on your local McLaren showroom floor though - wow!

Might go without saying, but I'd love to see any additional photos people snap when they visit.

I'll take some more later this week - that was sent to me by the dealer before I picked up my car.

If you've never seen a long tail in person, it's freakin' insanely huge. I'm sure Peloton knows the exact length - but it looks at least 6' longer than the regular F1

Yes - the difference is really quite dramatic.

Here's the change in dimensions from the standard length GTR to the Longtail - much greater than 6 inches, try 22.3 inches with most of it at the rear.

4933 mm (194.2 in)
4367 mm (171.9 in)

I was very fortunate to see 6 of them racing together in the FIA GT series back in 1997 at Laguna Seca - great memories of that day!
