Me

Cindy, which internet PR firm do you work for?

I do not work for an Internet firm. I celebrated 20 years in the classic and exotic car realm in December. I guess you can officially call me "Old School" even though I'm not old. LOL! I'm not pitching my company but since you asked, I own and operate CAR PR USA http://www.carprusa.com. I have my own company CAR PR USA. I work with races, rallies, Concours events and classic car auctions. I have several website and magazine custoemrs and a few car clubs also (Maserati Club International and Fiat Lancia Unlimited). I was on contract with Lamborghini Club America but did not renew my contract as well as the Ferrari Club when in Arizona for a few years. I'm in discussions with Ferrari Owners Group at this time to represent the newer club (3 years) that focuses on "driving". I am a die-hard enthusiast of many cars which means I actually enjoy my profession more than most.

You have probably seen me if you've been to Monterey Car Week. I spearheaded Concorso Italiano for the founders decades ago and currently represent Carmel Concours on the Avenue held early in the week. I'm also on contract with next month's Desert Classic Concours in Palm Springs, CA which has a weekend of vintage racing at Chuckawalla and a weekend of driving tour, auction and formal Concours. I also hold an open-ended contract with the Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance in Connecticut. I am also proud to count this site and the full ring of Car and Garage forums as a client.

Yes! I get around! (giggle) I post things to forums that interest me and that I think other enthusiasts will find interesting. I don't come across a whole lot on McLaren and since I don't own one, I haven't had a lot to contribute, but if I see things I think are cool, I'll share them here, particularly when beautiful examples are displayed at events I work with.

Nice to meet everyone!

Early pictures

Cliff Reuter has just posted some never-before-seen vintage photos of F1 that include a great many McLaren shots including Bruce McLaren. Thought you would enjoy them! http://www.cliffreuter.com/etceteriniCanadianF1GrandPrix1967.htm
Cindy,
Thanks for this link. The pictures are great. Personally I prefer the cars of this era, they just look right! Shame that nowadays aero rules. I particularly liked to see the shots of Jim Clark and it is nice to see where McLaren reallly began. Hope the new cars live up to their pedigree.
