Getting Ready for the track, Harness Bar question

I will be going out to Watkins Glen at the end of April. I have started to do some little things to the car, now that I can take it outside to work on it. Today, I unbolted the Driver's seat to adjust the angle relative to the seat base. I ended up on the highest bolt in the back and the lowest setting in the front. This gives me a little better angle sitting up a bit which I prefer. It is harder to get out of the car, but I'll deal with it.
My question is about mounting the harnesses to the Harness Bar. I saw that the Harnesses come with two couplings that install on the bar. I would think that these are for keeping the harness in the correct positions and not allowing them to slide. Can anyone share a picture of how and exactly where these are mounted in their 600LT? The location closer to the door is on the bend of the bar and I'm assuming that I want to keep the harness from sliding down but would like to verify. Also, not sure what side of the upper support to mount the inboard strap. Any help would be appreciated. I was going to let the dealer do the seat as I was hesitant to touch it. It just took a little bit of patience and some yoga moves inside the car to get the seat done. I'll be sore tomorrow, but probably saved $1000.

How does the harness fit to the seat on the left side? Is it bolt on or clip in? Mine is clip in, and I got some 3500lb tractor towing links to clip to. Assuming you have the McLaren Sabelt harness, it should fasten into the seat belt fitting on the other side. For the anti sub belts, if those are clip in, you can buy screw in eyes for the mount points at the rear of the seat.

The two couplings are to keep the two straps close together. The straps should be positioned close to the center of the seat and should be angled outwards as they pass through the seat.
That makes sense, thanks.
Do you have a HANS device? And is the harness 2" or 3" webbing at the shoulder?
I have a Simpson Hybrid. I'm using the SaBelts and they are 2".
The inboard lap belt clips to the existing seat belt release, the one near the door has a small triangular carabiner that fits through a mounting hole just above where the stock seat belt is bolted in. The sub belts have bolts that allow them to be attached to the rearmost mounting holes on the back of the seat base.

No, it's too difficult to get to that bolt on the side of the seat. I can do it without removing the seat, but it's a pita.

Thanks for the pics, that's very useful, I'm going to look at my spare seat now. Currently, I have replaced the stock seatbelt bolt with a standard seatbelt bolt that has the non threaded portion where I've fitted the towing link, so the harness attaches in the same place as the seatbelt.

In my head, this seemed to be all very straightforward until I came to actually do it! 😂

I looked at my spare seat, and there's only one bolt hole. This means I need to rethink my plan to buy the OE harness! 😭

Edit: On second thoughts, after looking at your pictures again, I don't think your harness actually bolts into the seat on that side? Are you just fitting that link through that extra slot in the seat, adjacent to the bolt hole for the seatbelt? That might be a good solution for me.

Wait, is that harness bolt fitted in the seatbelt slot? You have to take the seatbelt out?
No, the Harness "clips" in adjacent to it.

Yes. The small carabiner and threaded part fit through the small hole that I circled. It is a little bit of a pain to get it in there, but it fits. I assumed that is where it goes since it is so close to the OEM attachment point and seems to maintain the correct geometry.

Aha! I think you're right. What you can probably do to make it a bit easier is put another towing link in there. The one I found is for towing trailers with a 3500lb load capcity, the brand is Curt, and it's a 1/4" quick link. I found it for sale at tractorsupply.com.

So you actually installed the harness bar yourself? Yeah, sounds like fun. Great picture, that's what I needed to see, thanks.
Another newbie question regarding trailering. So, I think I understand how to winch the car into the Trailer. I have a large access door on the Driver's side that lifts open, but it's not very high. How can I put the car in Park once it's winched in the Trailer and take it out of park if I can't get in the car? Not sure how others do this. I'm not a tiny person.

Yes, I did the install myself. I have collars very similar to the ones in the picture, but I took them out because, being a spider, they impinge on the seat travel. I didn't have any problems with the belts moving outwards without the collars, but it is still on my list of things I need to solve, I'm thinking some sort of softer material that the seat can squash a bit. My install was pretty straightforward, the only thing I really had problems with was the alignment of the feet which sit underneath the seats, I had to pry the bar to move it about a mm over to get the seat bolts back in. It's easier on the spider to expose the seat belt anchors which is what mine ties to.

I don't trailer my car, so I can't help with that one!
