I have been made aware of an upcoming opportunity to meet Frank Stephenson, the designer of the MP4-12C, P1, 675LT, 570S, and 720S at an event scheduled for late April. The organizer of the event asked me to gauge interest in the community so he can better plan the event. The event will be held in the Southeast US. I'm sorry to be so vague, but I haven't been given the go-ahead to announce all the details. I'll provide more details as soon as I can. Please let me know if any of you are interested.

Thanks,

-Philip

I have interest. Would we be able to bring a few cars to have him sign them?

Either way, it would be great to meet him.

The P1 is the best design in the history of automotive imo. The 675lt and 720s are not far behind Imo.

He/his team copied no one.

I'm in the southeast, but my April is pretty packed so it would depend on the date for me.
My friend will speak to Frank next week and work out details. He will ask about autographs. He expects to make a formal announcement by the end of next week.

Robert Melville is the designer of the 720s, as well as the 570 line as far as I’m aware.

And the 12C is "cloudy". Frank is on this site and we left off on a conversation here:

I reached out to chat with Frank, who is a super nice guy, but he had scheduling issue and never got back in touch, as I'm sure he has much better things to do than chat with gadflies on a forum.

Okay, here are some details:

Frank Stephenson will be attending the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix April 28-30 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Purchase Indycar tickets and car corral parking here: www.indyalabama.com
There will be autographs in the car corral and a design talk in the museum, limited seating. RSVP info and more details to come. For inquires [email protected].

He's thrilled about the idea of hanging out with owners/signing stuff out in the park. Car corral is filling up quick though...

No, but there will be some Porsche racing. From the web page:

"If you’re a fan of Porsche racing, you won’t want to miss the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America – GT3 Cup and Porsche Sprint Challenge North America – Cayman, featuring some of the most advanced sports cars on the planet."

Barber Motorsports Park is also home to the North American Porsche Driving School.

It was a pleasure to meet Frank. He had some good stories to tell. In the afternoon he gave a talk in the Barber Advanced Design Center about his life, career, and general design approach.
