it doesn't have a couple of the options I wanted (1) Meridian/IRIS, (2) power seats. Other than those 2 things, it's pretty much perfect (well maybe a bit to much CF, if that's possible).

Also, since it's new, should one expect anything off MSRP, since the year is soon closing.

Sorry for a typical dumb first post.

Power seats are unnecessary. They just add weight, and are pretty useless since they don't return to your driving position when you enter the car. You have to press the button every time you sit in the car.
Iris is still not available... I would not base my decision on this. It's an expensive, nonfunctioning option that I would of avoided if it had not been "forced" upon me.
Buy the car!!!

+1 it is supposed to come at the same time as Naviagation, HP Increase, DCT modifications, etc.
But is it standard on all cars or only with IRIS/nav option?

They might be less inclined to discount AFTER HP bump :p

Unless you are prone to getting lost a lot .... skip the navigation; my cell phone has built-in nav for that once in a blue moon occasion. Ditto the power seats .... How often does a driver really move his seat around once it is set to a comfy position ? And, without the power seat option: you save precious weight.;)

Thanks all for the replies. I think I can live w/o the power seats (I need cooling seats) and the nav. But still unclear about the Bluetooth. No way I'm gonna clip one of those speaker doodads to my visor. Dealer put a call into factory for answer, but who knows how long that gonna take. The brochure clearly states under Features (not Options):

Telematics
  • - Seven-inch, portrait, touch-screen monitor Audio media player
  • - Picture viewer
  • - AM/FM radio
  • - Bluetooth telephony
  • - USB – Audio in
  • - iPodTM integration
  • - 32GB hard drive; 512MB flash memory Meridian four-speaker sound system

So, I'm going assume this is standard equipment (possibly pending sw update).

Mine certainly does not have bluetooth. My understanding is that it will be added later with the update... Maybe. Remember that your buying a super sports car, not a Lexus! Sure we've come to expect/demand quite a bit from such an expensive car; but the expense is in the design, powertrain, aerodynamics, steering, etc... Not the creature comforts.
How about that amazing Scud without carpets and speed control... Still one of the best cars in my book!!
We've been spoiled by the 12c. Race car performance with A/C, cruise control and amazing comfort. I would not base my purchase of a car like this on those extra goodies, just be glad you have them.:)

I guess that is true. Good to put things into perspective. Considering I make/get like 10 cell calls a month. :p

I'm with you; and, nowadays, too many gizmos in a car is downright dangerous.

What are you guys talking about? Too many gizmos? Bluetooth a distraction? This is an "AND" car. It's supposed to do everything. To be used every day. Who in this day and age drives a 40K car without navi? Or bluetooth for that matter. It should be a no-brainer on a 300K car. What's the point of the great ride if you it's just a toy?

I agree with you. My point is that these "gizmos" are not the reason why I would or wouldn't buy the car. Like I said, we've been spoiled by this car.

Right. 100%. We're not 16 yro first time drivers. The unit alone is more than a quarter f a million. We should not fall for the specious argument that sice it's a great performance car--luxury must be sacrificided.

The things that we all take for granted every day are conspicuous by their absence. There's HomeLink either? That's unfortunate as well, as I'll need two remotes to get home.
