Found a good strake replacement

I successfully made some new underside strakes that won't break, from a very durable plastic that is heat formable. I can make to order if you need a set. Price TBD, don't know if any need from owners. I also hear 650 strakes are similar problem, any others (if interest, send me hole pattern template)?

Playing devil's advocate here ... but I don't think this is a good idea. You want these pieces to break if they get caught on something. They sacrifice themselves to avoid damage to the floor. Imagine this gets caught on a speed bump or something and pulled, if it bends and not breaks it will rip the screws out of the floor and damage the mounting points or the floor itself.

When I last bought the factory parts, list was about $100 and wholesale price was about $56, per side. So not expensive. Convenience is nice to not have to replace them so often, but again, might be better to do that than address damage elsewhere.

It doesn't look like Rory is coming back so I've ordered my own 1/8 inch stock from McMaster Carr - 9852K72. It should be easy to form after a few minutes in the oven :)
This is thin enough to deform without causing any trouble to the tub or the inserts.

03/13/23 UPDATE: The McMaster-Carr UHMW PE material works very well. I heated an oven to 275 deg F and put the stock in for 15 minutes. On removal it was easy to form them on the old broken strakes to achieve the correct curvature. I then used several carpenter's clamps to hold them in position on the bench while they cooled. After drilling holes to the correct diameter using the old strakes as a jig, I painted them black using a plastic spray paint. I've run deliberately backwards and forwards over kerbs to test them and they deform easily rather than break. They seem pretty much indestructible so far.
