About 25% over list – if they get it!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140594246487&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123

Looks like a McLaren Birmingham (UK) car from the Ebay location and if registered 28 July, also the first customer delivery (actually taking possession and driving on the road before all you doubters start) in the world.

Therefore surprised someone so far up the list and presumably trusted by Rybrook has turned out to be a speculator.

Perhaps, in all fairness to them, they are also having a mare on the markets at the moment and need the ready cash!

hum, we ve got another one here

with the hook in front of the car...

:)
I am surprised that an MP4 has already been delivered in France. The Paris dealer hardly received his demo car and told me they had intentionally postponed deliveries to professional resellers to allow individual buyers to get their car earlier.
Unbelievable. I echo robbie's sentiments.

does this mean, mclaren france are happy to sell to other dealers? sounds like they are damaging their own customer base, why would you do that when you are paying for your own fanchise, could this be a basis of grey importing if another european dealer wants to undercut them?? seems pretty stupid on limited supply??

pleased for you that its not his car for sale seen as youve been waiting so long, wonder if its a regular rybrook customer or one they have inherited?
Blatant, predictable and shameless.

Getting more and more frustrated with what is becoming a very poor buying experience
Guys , come on here, McLaren have tried very hard to eliminate known speculators but the speculators are a crafty bunch.

For example, I know a speculator who offers £5000 and upwards if Joe Public will place an order on behalf of speculator. He ordered 15 458's this way and countless other cars. The speculator funds the deposit and purchase via a contract. He is a multi millionaire.

Now tell me how a manufacture can avoid being conned by that activity?

Secondly, an F1 customer would not be refused by McLaren and said customer is free to do what he wants with what he owns!!!

I met another guy who had two MP12 on order, one for himself and one for his wife but he is getting divorced so guess what - he needs to fund his divorce - McLaren did not include that in their strategic plan!

Then I know of a guy who ordered both a 458 and MP12 and intends to sell whichever arrives last. McLaren cannot be aware of/or control that situation .......that's how a free market works.

However it's a bummer that one of the first deliveries seem to be on sale.

I think its called market forces !! I have been offered a big profit on my car, however i don't need the cash just want my car NOW !!
Is anyone really surprised by this? As others have said, McLaren can do all they like to try to stop this activity but it will happen.

Let’s hope that their attempts have weeded some speculators out.

Still, for that profit I'd imagine most non-enthusiast owners would be tempted.
Another speculator:D:D:D Delays are expensive?

The website is well known in France, but the car doesnt come from France, maybe belgium or Monaco... and yes the black rolling demo car has just arrived in france couple of weeks ago, no customer cars delivered yet
so it seems that the french is in fact ... german
