so why is Faraday pouch important? does some magnetism mess up keys???
In theory the car can search for the key while it’s at your house, wake up and drain the battery.

In practical terms this may work and also may not be important.

it gives me something to do and mess with while I wait on my car is the main thing. :)

The car doesn't open automatically when the key is nearby, presumably because it doesn't try to detect the key until you press the door button. The only way I can think it might be a problem is if you left it unlocked with the key nearby, but there's probably a time limit on that.
Biggest question: who’s got two pouches that match the color of their build with sweet logos and who AIN’T! LoL

In anticipation of my Artura, and taking into account others’ idea of a Faraday-pouch for keys, I got these.

Orange pouches for keys, and got some iron-on patches. All in all like $25 in.
Very cool. They actually work quite well. I put my Artura keys in one and walked up right beside the car and it would not open. As soon as I opened the pouch the door opened.

Do you not get relay thefts over there across the pond? In the UK it's a big problem with keyless entry systems. The scrotes use a scanner to detect the radio signal from the key (that has been left in the house) then amplify/relay it to the car to get into it. That's what Faraday pouches are used for over here.

You should be using these if you have a car with a proximity key without a doubt. The ability to clone keys is hilariously simple.

(We patented a tech that secures this issue two years ago but cars companies aren’t our target market)

Car theft is generally much lower here, although there are places where it's a problem. They leave your car alone, but they might shoot you instead.
