You know Drifter, I saw that thread and it is thorough and magnificent. Problem is, I just wanted to see the car and get some basic specs. It took me forever to find the photos in the P12-Mega Mac-F1 Successor thread and I never found any specs. So I thought people who just wanted to see the car and get the basics should have a place to go.

I strongly recommend your thread to anyone who wants to drill down to the finest points on this singular piece of engineering.

Unfortunately you will have to wait a while until the official specs of the car is released. Plenty of speculation though so far we have 3 full images and of corse the speculation, all I can say is that this will be a very capable car

Yes the "specs" that are out there now are all 'speculations' not 'specifications'. Very important distinction to be made.

It doesn't help that a lot of news sources have taken the InsideMcLaren blog entry which was clearly labeled as guesses and rumors, and instead reported it as fact. Even AutoCar magazine failed to do their research and republished some of it in their own article when P1's photos first hit. Journalism at its finest - I say 'Not!'.

Specifications will hopefully be released at the Paris Motor Show in 4 days.
