Experience with Sports Fabric Interior

Anybody driven a car with the Sports Fabric seat centres?

Does it hold you in place or does it stretch/move when cornering?

Presumably it is cool and prevents a sweaty back like leather?

Any feedback, as I am dithering between leather and Sorts Fabric, would be appreciated.

Assuming this is the same or very similar to what they cover racing seats with, I find it quite good.
Boxer. Thanks. It looks like the mesh stocking you wish your partner would wear. I'm looking at VR with the red material with a black mesh on top.

It is called a sports interior so I guess that's the same?
circles,

i wasn't too impressed with the sports fabric. when i first saw the pictures and marketing spiel, it was my first choice (especially as i liked the way it matched well with the orange exterior). but when i saw it in person when i went to spec my car, my initial impression was that it looked a bit cheap - well, cheap is probably the wrong word, but it didn't seem right with the rest of the high end interior. in my opinion, the seats are so well shaped that i can't really see you slipping around in the leather. in the end i went for the alcantara/leather.
I haven't seen this in person, but in pictures it looks identical to the "Two Layer" fabric that Ferrari used on the 430 Scuderia. I have a Scuderia and the Two Layer fabric is very grippy and wears extremely well. You don't have to worry about it moving around.

If you don't have access to a Scuderia, the current Nissan XTerra uses the identical fabric to the Scuderia as accent fabric on the seats.

Personally I prefer alcantara and it seems all of the show and demo cars are outfitted this way as well.
The space fabric is nearly identical to the Scuderia fabric - the opening shape is a bit different, but otherwise if you've sat/seen a 430 Scuderia you've very nearly seen/sat the space fabric.
I think it would a neat option to be able to get this for the seats only (i.e. Keep the dash and doors leather/alcantara).

sounds like a mission for special ops...

This is my mission. Leather and alcantara with contrast stitch, then space fabric seat inserts. Seems like it is a custom option but not sure why it would cost more sense it is only the seats that are different than standar spec.

Yes, in materials should be cheaper. But I guess in interrupting the production line, should be more expensive. And punishable by hanging! :)

Has anybody actually received an MOE modified spec car yet? Seems those "McLaren" badges on the hood might be, but those guys that have it dodge the question every time! Guess they don't want anybody to know!
amgpower. I understand why you say the sports fabric looks cheap but when I visited the MPC THERE was a VR car, on the line, with red sports fabric and it somehow' brought the car to life' It lifted the cars colour and worked well, but it does not look a million dollars. The 458 with alcantara with red stripes looks good.

.

+1, the Scuderia fabric is excellent so if the same I would definitely recommend.
The issue for me is avoiding the heat of leather despite it being my preferred interior. When I test drove the MP12 my back was sweating so hence my interest in the space fabric.

I've gone for the VR with black leather sports interior with red sports material in centre of seats and red stitching. I'm not due for delivery until January but if I get any pictures before that I'll post them.
