New article in this months Evo saying how they have made some changes to the car following the magazine/tv reviews. 3 changes listed:

1. Induction roar now channelled in to the cabin. "Wow. This is what it should have sounded like all along! A proper, spine tingling induction roar as each gear pops through. It's almost impossible not to laugh out loud, it sounds so good now..."

2. Change in weighting of gear changing paddles. They had been set stiff to replicate the F1 car, but a lighter change has been universally asked for and is being changed.

3. Changes to the steering pick up points and the support of the rack to make the steering feel more 'fluid'.

Also states that the steel brake discs are loads better than the carbon ones for feel.

To quote Metcalfe "What this has taught me is that the bosses at McLaren will not be happy until the MP4-12C is deemed to be the best super-sports car in the world"

I heard they also twicked the throttle response (and traction control threshold?). That would take care 2 out of the 3 comments i told them to make after i drove the car. (the 3rd was the lack of lsd but that is a different story.)
Damn they could have made all these changes 6 months ago! lol

PS actually i also suggested that they somehow include the turbo boost in the instrument panel as most people would want to see that but i dont know if finally they decided to include this..

The above article is very good news indeed for prospective buyers..

Precisely why you wouldn't want to buy the first year of this car. It's like software in alpha release, but they are charging full retail like it's production quality.
I wonder if Ferrari have listened to comments about sending out ringers,i would like one of those,but i dont think they are production spec either!!!!!!!!!!

Very good that they have reacted BUT if supercar owners who actually use their cars had been allowed to drive the cars months ago these points would have been raised then. I made these points 2 weeks ago plus another 2 or 3 when eventually I was allowed to drive the car:)

The downside of the upgrades is that if they keep changing the car going forward the residuals on early cars (like mine) could suffer

i agree to a point,but they have said the first customer car will be the same spec as number 5000,just to keep the residuals the same,but they will offer upgrades as they become available ,ie sports seats
