Thought you guys might want see the install. I went as stealthy as possible.

Put the remote for the 9500ci and the laser interceptor on/off toggle in the center armrest glove box. Except for the initial setup, I never used the remote on the 9500ci in my last car. I figure when I need to toggle the LIs on/off (hopefully rarely), it will be easy to do.

The data port cables are in the passenger side when I want to do a USB update.

Oh yea, the 9500ci display is integrated into the rearview visor.

The LIs are in pretty stealthy spots as well. By the way, the LIs come with proximity sensors, so if you plan on installing them, you can have one less option on the Mac. Now I got both of them going off! ☺

Like the interior install, can't the sensors be hidden more?

I'm not sure they can without hurting performance.

You're seeing a pretty big close-up, and I had to flash the hell out of the camera to get things to show up. In practice, it is VERY difficult to see them just standing back from the car. Particularly the rear LIs.

I'll try and grab a shot later just standing away from the car to give you a better feel.

In the link to this thread from the iPhone holder one you mentioned the dealer could do this kind of stealth install of the 9500ci. Being you're in NYC, just curious if it was McLaren Greenwich that did this for you? It looks great and would certainly be a wise investment on my end if the day comes where I get a 12c!

McLaren in Phili did the install. They did a great job. I suspect other dealers can do it to.

I cannot speak if the database includes data for Dubai. That said, it is software updatable. And, the US version does warn you of redlight and speed cameras.

JKH, the interior install does look like a fantastic job, especially the mirror. I do agree with the call that the exterior sensor location could be integrated and hidden a bit better. Couldn't they have been installed in the same basic location but behind the mesh? The mesh has holes in so I would have thought that the sensors would just need to be lined up with the mesh holes?

How much was that install? Around here they are asking 3500 to 4k for that type of install. Hard to justify that much to prevent a ticket. 2K is more reasonable. The SCUD I had, already had that exact system installed. It was OK but took a lot of studying the manual to manipulate and shut off the excessive beeping. Had an R8 for 1 month and it had a built in K40 system which was pretty good also but also beeped a little much. Have a non stealth V1 in my S6, just hardwired through the mirror and it only beeps with real warnings and warns me way ahead of time but does not jam lasers. V1 costs under 500 full installed. Need to figure out what to do, car is almost broken in and will need some protection for when I can really drive it:D

What is the rearview mirror component? id that part of the Escort 9500ci?
Its extra. Iirc theres a place in texas that does them. I have one in mine as well. Its $$$ though, but nice.

You can set the front shifters back further without affecting performance, mine are way back, we tested them with no problem.
