Door won't open...

Hi guys, I can not open the doors of my GT. I tried both keys and replace all the batteries for the keys. Still not working! Tried to open the door manually, but the window won't get lower so I didn't want to force it.

I just had the service done within a month, and I drove the car perfectly fine the day before. There was no warning sign for low battery or anything.

Is there anything that i can open the car without breaking the window lol? The car looks completely dead now....

After reading some threads, I am wondering if the problem comes from the Airpods that I put in the cupholder. Maybe it does something to affect the key sensor...................

Is it on the charger? If not try the manual frunk release and put it on charge.
the manual frunk release
It is not on the charger. I don't think I can manually open the frunk without getting into the car.....

Yes, you can. Might not be in the same location as the video, but there are ways.

Yep, you can unlock the trunk manually with your key, consult the user manual, this comes with every McLaren also in paper form (and please don't tell us it's in the car ;) )

😢 It is in the car, but I am not sure whether it is the online version or not...

Thank you for the quick response! It seems pretty changeling to me opening the frunk like the man in the video...

Shit.
I just recently read the procedure on how it would work on my 720S. It's not that easy to explain, but you should be able to take out the mechanical part of your key in your keys. Then you just have to find the mechanical lock in the front and open the trunk. But this would all be in the user manual, simply explained with pictures...

Thank you for the quick response! I think the mechanical lock in GT is a bit different, which it locates at the left-hand door aperture...........😭

Ah ok, that can be good. I am sure you will find someone here who can help you.
Because I think the right path has given you cars4enjoying. I also strongly suspect the lack of battery voltage.

Hi, what happened with the door problem?

I have the same problem with my 2020 GT, although my battery appears to be fully charged and the windows go up (not completely) and down, so I can open the drivers door with the safety latch. It was serviced by McLaren one month ago, no issues, drove it multiple times in the days before the problem with no problems. Now the doors won't open, multiple warnings on the dash re parking brake, tracking, doors, boot. Wing mirror adjustor is flashing. Engine was starting and car driving despite the issues, but now won't start. Battery says 44 days and the stereo etc works. So frustrating. I'll have to have it shipped if it can't be resolved as no McLaren dealers where I live. Warranty expired 2 weeks ago :-(

Please help.

Thanks

do you have it on a battery tender?
If not, hook it up for 24 hours without touching the car or checking it and see

Thanks for commenting. I’ve never had it on a charger (is that what you mean by tender?) before and I don’t drive it for a week sometimes, with no prior issues. I’ll hook it up to one this evening though and leave it on there for 24 hours. Is the battery in the frunk? Can I open that manually with the physical key from inside the fob?

Thanks again

Not sure about the GT, but I'd guess it's similar, on the 570 there's a manual release near the the door hinge on the driver's side. In the frunk, there's a panel that comes off easily to access the battery. This is almost certainly a battery problem, despite what the car is telling you. Check the voltage directly on the battery.
